freitasm: Transcripts of his call to Mexico President and Australia PM were released. The guy is a clown.

He told his equal from Mexico that he (MX) should stop saying MX wouldn't pay for the wall, as in demanding it.

He also said his call to AU was not going well and that Russia was easier to deal with.

Clown.

Do you have links to these?

He is clearly not a well man. He needs to be put down.

To be fair, I didn't think his conversation with the Mexican president was that bad. Certainly not the material of a great negotiator or diplomat, but far more coherent and restrained than I would have expected.

The Australian call... not so much.

Batman: Big playground bully
elpers

A very simple comment, but its the truth. He is a world playground bully, but he doesn't get it. The world is quite big, its not like the handful of NYC developers that you can push around.

But we need the Mods to close this thread, as apparently Trump told Oz Malcolm Turnbull that he is worse than Trump.

I was thinking today, back when he was elected, I predicted that he will do nothing and be harmless. I was right. BUT, I could never have predicted that he would be as he is. Harmless, yes, hated, yes, loved, yes, ridiculed, yes. It seems impossible in the world of reality that all these can be true. It gives a sense of relevance to The Kardashians. They may be silly but they are almost real.

Secret Service vacates Trump Tower in rental dispute. These guys protect the President. They aren't allowed to establish a post in his building.

The Secret Service has vacated its command post inside Trump Tower in Manhattan following a dispute between the government and President Trump’s company over the terms of a lease for the space, according to two people familiar with the discussions.

Previously, the Secret Service had stationed its command post — which houses supervisors and backup agents on standby in case of an emergency — in a Trump Tower unit one floor below the president’s apartment.

But in early July, the post was relocated to a trailer on the sidewalk, more than 50 floors below, a distance that some security experts worry could hamper the agency that protects the president’s home and family.

He'd been a Republican before switching to the Democrats in 2014.  Opportunity knocked.

He's worth well over a billion, owns coal mines, massive farms etc.

Self interest.

He is the swamp - but poor folks can't see it.

Lazy Boy - the Sequel

Like many denizens of Washington DC, President Donald Trump is escaping the heat that smothers the nation's capital in August.

But his respite is anything but brief. The president will spend 17 days at his private golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, for what the White House bills as a "working vacation".

For someone who brands himself as an indefatigable worker, the nearly three-week holiday has raised a few eyebrows.

In his 2004 book, Think Like a Billionaire, Mr Trump offered the advice: "Don't take vacations. What's the point? If you're not enjoying your work, you're in the wrong job."

Bill Maher does two HBO weekly shows: "Real Time with Bill Maher" and on YouTube a follow-up informal program called "Overtime with Bill Maher"

Bill was famously sued by Donald Trump, over a joke: Maher joked that he would donate $5 million to Trump's chosen charity if he released a birth certificate proving his father was not an orangutan.

To Bill's credit, he always has vehement supporters of Trump on his program.

This week's was Ralph Reed. From Wikipedia: "Ralph Eugene Reed Jr. is a conservative American political activist, best known as the first executive director of the Christian Coalition during the early 1990s. ... Reed started the Faith and Freedom Coalition in June 2009"

I found him extremely hypocritical, self-righteous, but smooth tongued.

As Sun Tzu said in "The Art of War" know your enemy. So here's every defence of the current Trump, in 15 minutes.

Bill Maher failed to clamp down on that creep's "whataboutism" (his defense of Trump was almost entirely based on the "but Hillary" argument) - and failure to slam the creep for absolute hypocrisy by preaching Christian morality to endorse a POTUS who demonstrably lacks holding any true Christian (or any other major religion) ethical/moral values.
