"Trump is done"

Okay, now here's a serious piece with the same theme:

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-is-done_us_59af3f49e4b0d0c16bb52886

And it makes sense.

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

An excellent article ........ and this paragraph below made me think

Sure, some people still get routinely upset by Trump, because it is their job to do so. Some of them are on the right—the unbearable Ann Coulter, Steve Bannon and his propaganda machine at Breitbart, some others. But unfortunately, most of them are actually on the left, maintaining the constant outrage over every little tweet, every provocation, every handshake, every breach of the norms of politics. Have they forgotten that Trump promised to breach these norms—and won the elections for that?

And the article closes in similar fashion

By now, Trump has become a personal tragedy. We should no longer make his personal life failure our national failure. We should gently pat him over his head, and move on. Enough remains to be done.

This is over the top. Like the Clinton videos : )

How long will that last with copyright law? Maybe it qualifies under parody. Unlikely.

Bugger. Guess who will be in Waikiki on Friday? How did I manage to get our vacation timing so wrong?

“Expect road closures! Flights cancelled! Expect delays around the city” sigh. We are staying next door to his motel. I really hope he is staying somewhere else. Any messages you want passed on if I see him?? 😇

A chance to meet the locals

http://www.kitv.com/story/36713515/president-trump-to-visit-hawaii-this-week

"Several local groups hope to send a different message to the commander and chief, including Hawaii J20, which formed on January 20th to protest Trump taking office.

'Our fundamental message is that Donald Trump and his entire administration needs to go,' Jan Dickey with J20 said. 'People here are just fired up that fact he's setting foot on Oahu.'

According to Dickey, Hawaii J20 is organizing a rally on Friday, November 3rd to speak out against the President and 'celebrate' Hawaii's success in blocking Trump's travel bans,

'We're thinking of it as a pep rally actually.. because we are really proud of the fact that his Muslim bans have been knocked down three times through the year.. so the theme of this rally is Hawaii-3.. Trump-0,' Dickey added.

The rally is scheduled to take place in front of the State Capitol from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Some scary post-Halloween reading for you. What if Mueller proves his case and it doesn't matter?

So who is the Man in Black in this scenario? It can't be Trump, as he's not clever enough by half.

My money is on the Man in Black being a metaphor, representing the American blend of evangelical Christianity.

Maybe fear itself. The fanatical extremist version of American Christianity is certainly poison, but there are plenty of other non-Christians stirring the pot. The one thing they have in common is fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of the other, fear of anything they cannot understand, fear of loss.

The best we & the World can hope for is that Trump will start reading biographies of previous  presidents & decide to emulate one of them.    He could do a lot worse than deciding to emulate Dwight D Eisenhower.     Even now they have one thing in common - they play too much golf!!    Eisenhower was a 'political' general, but he knew how to manage personalities & egos better than just about anyone.

There's a fatal flaw in your plan. Trump doesn't read.
