"Trump is done"
Okay, now here's a serious piece with the same theme:

And it makes sense.
Trump crowned? No faux King way!

An excellent article ........ and this paragraph below made me think
Sure, some people still get routinely upset by Trump, because it is their job to do so. Some of them are on the right—the unbearable Ann Coulter, Steve Bannon and his propaganda machine at Breitbart, some others. But unfortunately, most of them are actually on the left, maintaining the constant outrage over every little tweet, every provocation, every handshake, every breach of the norms of politics. Have they forgotten that Trump promised to breach these norms—and won the elections for that?
And the article closes in similar fashion
By now, Trump has become a personal tragedy. We should no longer make his personal life failure our national failure. We should gently pat him over his head, and move on. Enough remains to be done.

Some scary post-Halloween reading for you. What if Mueller proves his case and it doesn't matter?

So who is the Man in Black in this scenario? It can't be Trump, as he's not clever enough by half.
My money is on the Man in Black being a metaphor, representing the American blend of evangelical Christianity.
Maybe fear itself. The fanatical extremist version of American Christianity is certainly poison, but there are plenty of other non-Christians stirring the pot. The one thing they have in common is fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of the other, fear of anything they cannot understand, fear of loss.

Sideface
The best we & the World can hope for is that Trump will start reading biographies of previous presidents & decide to emulate one of them. He could do a lot worse than deciding to emulate Dwight D Eisenhower. Even now they have one thing in common - they play too much golf!! Eisenhower was a 'political' general, but he knew how to manage personalities & egos better than just about anyone.
