World's confidence in US leadership under Trump at new low, poll finds

Global confidence in US leadership has fallen to a new low, and the country now ranks below China in worldwide approval ratings, according to a new Gallup poll.

The survey of opinion in 134 countries showed a record collapse in approval for the US role in the world, from 48% under Obama to 30% after one year of Donald Trump.

Germany is now seen as a global leader by many more people (41% of the sample), with China in second place on 31%.

In just under half of the world’s countries – 65 out of 134 – US standing collapsed, by 10 percentage points or more.

Some of the biggest losses were among Washington’s closest allies in western Europe, Australia [and NZ], and Latin America.

One of the sharpest declines in confidence in US leadership was in the UK, where it dropped by 26 percentage points.

It would have been worse, but Russia’s confidence in the US increased.

Stands to reason, now that the DSA is under Russian control.

WTF does "textbook generic" even mean?

Missionary position?

Or maybe it was sex-worker code to warn colleagues that the sex or the customer was 'TG'.

For example, TG could mean 'Totally Grotesque' or 'Tacky Geriatric'.

Use your imagination.

BTW, this makes for interesting reading.

Especially the bit where, on the day after the event, Stormy told her friend Alana Evans, “Picture this: Donald Trump chasing me around the bedroom in his tighty whities isn’t something that you ever forget.”

The idea of his weight/height not actually being what was disclosed concerns me greatly, for one very important reason: If we can't believe the height and/or weight reported in the physical, then how can we believe the reported perfect score on the cognitive test?

Trumplestiltskin must have got the idea from 'House of Cards' season 5.

Remember? Frank and Claire's fake terrorism scam worked a treat, so their next aim would have been success in a bigger and better conflict (WWIII) to sway the voters.

But if, as seems likely, Claire will be flying solo in Season 6, maybe she'll just go the Stormy Daniels' way and wow Viktor Petrov (Putin) with her expertise between the sheets.

Hmm, could be a part for Maladya there.

So the "Stormy Daniels" story continues, broken by the WSJ (owned by Murdoch), now reporting that Trump's lawyer (Cohen) set up a company in Delaware in order to process the payment.

This whole arrangement is stupendous, unbelievable.  I'd written it off as a possible beat-up and risk of being "fake news" - but it now appears that it clearly wasn't.  WTF made Cohen/Trump think the $130k payment would do the trick - let alone as part of the "deal" getting the woman to write a letter denying that she'd had an affair - how that could ever contribute to plausible denial if ever needed.  He trusted a hooker?  LOL.  Unless they knew she had solid evidence, then repeated denial by Trump and henchmen/women could have been worth a shot.

I am starting to actually like Trump. Everything he does must push so many of the wrong buttons of his supporters. They are all like Sandra Sanders, working themselves into impossible contortions trying to defend Trump's actions and reconcile those with their conservative values. That man is pi**ing on everyone and having a ball doing it.
