While the useless senators carry on with their stupid games, real workers such as air traffic controllers turn up & do a thoroughly professional job as usual.   Oops, that almost reads like a POTUS tweet.

That's very discreet of you, Freitasm.

Yes, the phrase 'Donald Trump' could put me off a lot of things, even food.

I'd better say the following link might have also have NSFW sub-links.

Facebook admits social media is having a devastating effect on society

This won't be news to Trump supporters, of course.

Trump tweets support of Women's March that's also protesting ... him

Hundreds of thousands of men, women and children took to the streets from Washington to Los Angeles to protest the state of women's rights and other issues.

While not necessarily an anti-Trump event, a lot of the sentiments expressed by protesters took aim at the President's words and policies on topics ranging from women's rights to immigration.

Nancy Sinatra succinctly replied to Trump with her own tweet:

Why Donald Trump was irrelevant in the government shutdown talks

Washington (CNN)   The big story coming out of the 2018 government shutdown was this: Where is President Donald Trump?

Trump held no public events over the weekend, and ... it didn't appear as though the President - the man who has touted himself as the greatest deal-maker in world history - was making much of a difference.

There's a simple reason for Trump's lack of active involvement: He doesn't possess any sort of deep policy knowledge on this issue and he is uninterested in educating himself on the finer points of the policy debates at work in the shutdown in order to have any sort of real influence over the way forward.

Trump tried to fire Mueller in June. He only backed down when White House Counsel threatened to quit.

Trump apologised for retweeting a racist group. Kind of:

Piers Morgan: BREAKING NEWS: President Trump has publicly apologised for retweeting far-right group Britain First. Says he didn't know who they were. 'I don't want to be involved with these people. If you're telling me they're horrible racist people. I certainly apologise.'

That retweet caused him massive problems in the UK. It almost certainly doomed his original planned visit. The apology shows he's attempting to repair the UK relationship. It also shows he was beat.

Still, he is apologising for retweeting some far-right group, not for being racist.
