The Atlantic
"One of the most extraordinary things about our current politics ... is the loyal adherence of religious conservatives to Donald Trump. The president won four-fifths of the votes of white evangelical Christians. This was a higher level of support than either Ronald Reagan or George W. Bush, an outspoken evangelical himself, ever received.
"Trump’s background and beliefs could hardly be more incompatible with traditional Christian models of life and leadership."
According to Jerry Falwell Jr., evangelicals have “found their dream president,” which says something about the current quality of evangelical dreams.

When it's looking like there's collusion, then collusion isn't a crime...
Next step is that when the collusion is shown to be a conspiracy with a foreign power to subvert the democratic process - it'll be back to "but her emails" and there's no way the Russians were damaging democracy - they were saving America from That Woman - Lock Her Up.
Who needs a prosecutor when you have got such a blabbermouth senile lawyer like Rudi?

OTOH, the President himself has been getting away with blatant lies, hypocrisy, contradicting himself, assorted word salad illogical rants, abuse, direct and implied threats, whatever. In the court of public opinion - not despite this but probably because of this - his chances of not being locked up have probably improved. To face charges he's going to need to be impeached first - public opinion will matter, and if the GOP keeps a majority in the mid-terms, there's no chance of him being impeached. Giuliani is probably doing a great job - Trump supporters (and the GOP) clearly have no problem with lapping up endless streams of BS, putting party before country.
Fred99:
According to Gallup's presidential approval poll (weekly poll published on Tuesdays) Trump's approval is at 43%.
Margin on error is +/- 3%.
I'll wager that his flirting with treason won't make any difference - that next Tuesday his approval will still be over 40%.
The world has a serious problem - it's not just the USA's problem.
Just for reference, his approval ratings on Gallup's poll was:
43% on 15/7
42% on 22/7
40% on 29/7 (55% disapproval)

I sat down this evening and casted your most recent clips on the big screen.
Giuliani gave me a headache. That man is definitely on drugs of some kind. Not the good kind. My heart goes out to the poor journalist who tried to interview him. No-one deserves that.
