Doesn't matter. Wackos know that mainstream stats are not to be trusted. It is all part of the Great Conspiracy to control free will through vaccination.

Why does the fact that the Rainbow crossing Vandal in Auckland is married to Brian Tamaki's granddaughter not surprise me...

https://www.stuff.co.nz/nz-news/350245460/relative-brian-tamaki-pleads-guilty-painting-over-auckland-rainbow-crossing

Reading the similar article in the Herald it seems the painter and/or Destiny have a general objection to any kind of relationship education whatsoever.

Unelected commissioners recommend they stay in power in Tauranga | Stuff

Tauranga’s Government-appointed commissioners have recommended they stay on with no mayor elected in July, though the minister has rejected the bid.

A letter from the city’s leaders to Local Government Minister Simeon Brown, released under the Official Information Act, said there were “risks” and “serious concern” if the elections went ahead as planned.

Instead of an elected mayor, appointing one of the commissioners as chair “would assist in achieving the objectives the National-led Government has enunciated through its policy statements and coalition agreements,” said the commissioners.

Whoa. No words. I believe this is a case of "cling to power at all costs" and a case of hope that "if we say this is for National, they will let us stay."

There was a similar situation with Environment Canterbury a few years back. Allegedly the elected representatives were  'dysfunctional' so they were replaced by the then National government with members appointed by the government.

They stayed in place for a few years before elected members were slowly re-introduced but in the meantime many farmer/irrigation friendly decisions were made and the populace were being taxed without having representation.

An interesting look at how Mike Johnson is trying to manage the deplorables in the Republican party and not doing so well - so badly he might be out of the role soon.

Come to think of it, how long do Democratic speakers usually last for? Nancy was around for a while, eh?

Marjorie Taylor Greene was mocked on the front cover of Sunday's New York Post, once Donald Trump's "favorite newspaper," due to her opposition to U.S. aid for Ukraine amid the country's ongoing war with Russia.

This Murdoch-owned newspaper reported favorably on Trump during his time as a local property magnate and reality TV star, but distanced itself from Trump after he claimed that the 2020 election had been stolen from him.

The election was in 2022, for God's sake!! But fortunately, this deplorable is now at the end of the line 😀👍

My usual method to read your link posts..
1. Read the bit after >>
2. Read the remaining text
3. Read the url path to see if that provides a clue
4. Review and summarize
5. Karl Lake an election denier is at the end of the line
6. I'm not much wiser, head hurts, still don't know what you know

Oh I thought I provided a summary! 🙁 There's so many news stories flying around these days, I thought that I was only posting something interesting to read. Sorry!

Maybe I should do something more like kingdragonfly or Sideface does.

Quite a lot to read and digest here (a bit too much to summarise) but if you have the time, this is a really good look at how Lindsey Graham went from Trump-hater to one of the biggest Trump-defenders in the Senate.

https://www.newsweek.com/steve-bannon-faces-music-we-build-wall-fraud-case-1896079

Oh look! One deplorable (Bannon) is soon to be dealt to by the judge, currently handling the case of yet another deplorable (Trump) 😀

This should be interesting - Bannon has dodged any accountability for a long time, much like the orange buffoon. I hope this goes to trial, I'd love to see him squirm under difficult questioning.

Woof! Those are some serious charges against Bannon.

Bannon associate sentenced to 4.25 years for Trump border wall fraud, ordered to forfeit $17.9 million and pay $2.9 million in restitution.

Another associate got three years in prison following his guilty plea.

A third associate got 5.25 years for the same scam.

Bannon can expect much, much worse.

Aw, poor Rudy 🙄 A person with some common sense would go to a budget adviser for assistance with issues like this...but I guess this is is the guy who's still denying the orange buffoon lost, almost 4 years later.

If I was one of his creditors I don't think I would be terribly impressed either - he spends more in 2-3 months than what I make in a year 😮
