With the cost of the wall at 18bil, and the population of the US at say, 327mil, that's fifty-five bucks a head, man, woman and child.

If I was a US citizen (and thank Gawd I'm not) I'd be bitching to my congressman about that. Especially if I lived in Hawaii or Alaska.

Third Govt shutdown in a year. There needs to be a move away from the US, where a new World Bank is created to become the financial epicentre of commerce. This is beyond farcical. The US wants to be alone and selfish, make it happen. Some responsible Govts can also discuss Syria and Afghanistan, and so on

“The Democrats now own the shutdown!” he wrote on Twitter. ...

“It’s really indicative of how we all know he thinks so in-the-moment and so off-the-cuff that it winds up being dangerous,” said Jack O’Donnell, former president of the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, one of the properties from which Trump removed his name.

I believe Trump is not responsible for starting the Chinese-America friction, but is the worst possible person to be President during the conflict.
