I regret not ordering one of the real ones from the first summit. That was unintended comedy gold right there.

I give up. He went to Vietnam and walked away. He now allows limited military drills, the SOLE reason is to nag North Korea. A normal person will have had discussions with NK, came to no nuclear agreement, but added goodwill by ending the war. Its all paper stuff, get some goodwill going, so when NK screw you, you are innocent, and can take a stern view of sanctions and so on. Could also have backed down in a small and token way on sanctions. No cost. Win-win, but no, he prefers to get angry at yet another deal failed and bite the bull's ankle

The Guardian - Trump blames Cohen testimony for collapse of summit with Kim Jong-un

Clever and pathetic at the same time - Trump did not fail - it was all Cohen's fault. 😕
Attack, deny, deflect, lie ... repeat ...
I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that the Trump Base is stupid enough to believe absolutely anything that their Fearless Leader says.

The first time was because of a government shutdown... The excuse didn't make sense because unless it was an official state reception, the dinner would have been paid out of his pocket. Seeing the "hamberders" didn't go well he wouldn't want to serve different food to another team, least admit his previous "dinner" was a fiasco.
But hey, conservatives said they finally would have "class" back in the White House - what they probably really meant was they wouldn't have a black president at the White House.

The New York Times - Senate Has Votes to Overturn Trump’s Emergency Declaration
March 4, 2019
The Senate is poised to rebuke President Trump’s national emergency declaration at the southwestern border.
The only question: how big the Senate margin will be.
With Senator Rand Paul’s decision to support a resolution to block President Trump’s emergency declaration, Congress appears ready to deliver a stern rebuke to the president over his border wall and a clear statement that it will defend its ability to control federal spending.
Senator Paul, a libertarian-minded Kentuckian, said he will join fellow Republican Senators Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Thom Tillis of North Carolina, giving proponents of the resolution of disapproval the 51 votes they need, if Democrats remain united in their support.
On Monday, Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the majority leader, confirmed that the measure has the votes to pass the Senate. ...

I've always thought that Trump had blundered by publicly insulting Kim. Asians have long memories when it comes to losing face.
So when Rocket Man finally gets around to the hit, those coins should triple in value.
Trump crowned? No faux King way!
The New York Times - America the Cowardly Bully
What the world has learned from Trump’s trade war.
March 4, 2019
Trump’s trade belligerence has done lasting damage to America’s reputation, and hence to a global economy that depends on American leadership.
The whole world now knows two things about us.
First, we’re not reliable - an agreement with the U.S. is really just a suggestion, because you never know when the president will invent some excuse for breaking it.
Second, we’re easily rolled - The president may talk tough on trade, but in classic bully fashion, he runs away if confronted. ...
