One of Tony Spell's church helpers 78 dies of pneumonia with covid listed on the death certificate. Spell says it's a lie:

Spell"s lawyer is in hospital and testing positive. Lawyer attended several church services:

So these idiots took an obvious hoax, and extended it to the "mark of the beast", the devil's number in the Book of Revelation.

I'd bet most of these "bible experts" believe that's 666, because it's often stated in popular culture. In fact it's one of many transcription errors that crept into a bible copy of a copy of a copy ad nauseum. It's 616, when hundreds of years ago someone wrote "666" instead of "616".

Politifact: Facebook says the U.S. is developing an “antivirus” that includes a chip to track your movement.

According to a theory circulating on the internet, the United States government will soon have an "antivirus" for the novel coronavirus that involves inserting a chip into your body to track your movements.

That's news to us.

We came across a lengthy Facebook post that claims an "RFID chip" will be included in the antivirus, enabling the government to "watch your location, the speed your (sic) walking and even WHAT’S IN YOUR BLOODSTREAM."

The post was flagged as part of Facebook’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Facebook.)

This is a hoax. There is no credible evidence that supports this theory. What’s more, the term "antivirus" typically refers to software designed to detect and eliminate computer viruses — not a vaccine for the human body.

Anti-lockdown marchers - fighting to LIBERATE Texas:

Yesterday a guy on Reddit did a little digging and found most of these protest movements seem to be organised from one place in a big astro-turfing campaign.

https://www.reddit.com/r/maryland/comments/g3niq3/i_simply_cannot_believe_that_people_are/fnstpyl

They sprang up around the same time with the same messaging. They also seem to be tied to a lot of independent gun lobby groups as well.

For those who don't know (I didn't)

"Astroturfing is the practice of masking the sponsors of a message or organization (e.g., political, advertising, religious or public relations) to make it appear as though it originates from and is supported by grassroots participants.

It is a practice intended to give the statements or organizations credibility by withholding information about the source's financial connection.

The term astroturfing is derived from AstroTurf, a brand of synthetic carpeting designed to resemble natural grass, as a play on the word "grassroots". The implication behind the use of the term is that instead of a "true" or "natural" grassroots effort behind the activity in question, there is a "fake" or "artificial" appearance of support."

Trump and his right-wing nationalist supporters are nazis.

End of story.

I have some right wing, anti science nutters in the town where I live. Scarily, one works as a WINZ caseworker. We were having a peaceful argument about one of the  totally nutter things she believed (will explain if you really want to know) when she also mis attributed to me a couple of comments to her made by someone else. So not only is she believing wild stories from the right wing crazies on the Internet she also does not read well. This person is in charge of making sure beneficiaries get entitlements. Scary as hell in my opinion.

Am I naive to think that surely entitlements are assessed using strict rules, policy and criteria.

If political bias (either direction), or race, religion, culture, etc. of the case manager influence whether someone will get a benefit then that is indeed scary.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

You're naive perhaps to think that interpretation of rules involves only binary logic.  It probably should - but it doesn't.
