I found an area DOGE could focus on:

April 1st (April Fool's day)
"Someone to be arrested tomorrow"
Never happened

According to DOGE, "there’s millions of dollars of social security going to dead people every month"

If DOGE caught so many fraudsters in the unclean masses, why haven't they arrested any?

Since Trump is so keen for photo-ops, and Musk constantly posts on his platform, like the El Salvador prisons, you'd think the first fraudster they caught what have their name splashed everywhere.

Fraudster would have their bank account, mailing address and various ID's stored in government databases, so pretty easy to track down.

I think Elon's definition of fraud is "Any spending I don't like or understand. "

Maybe instead of going after retirees and the disabled, maybe DOGE should look at DOGEcoin.

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/elon-musk-trolled-in-path-of-exile-2-stream-rage-quits-after-losing/QIJKRTZ5LNFQJGEOQ7JK7X2Z2M/

Musk, the world’s richest man, streamed himself playing Path of Exile 2 on his private jet over the weekend in an attempt to show off Starlink’s in-flight WiFi.

For about 90 minutes, he sat mostly in silence as his on-screen character kept dying, despite his claim to be one of the best players of the game in the world.

This is hilarious, he thinks he's a real tough guy when he stands next to the orange buffoon, gleefully boasting about sending vital agencies like USAID "into the woodchipper", yet in the court of public opinion he finds out that, well, he isn't even half as loved by everyone as he thinks he is 😃

https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/elon-musk-admits-efforts-dismal-140857586.html

DOGE is woefully behind even that target. As the New York Times reports, Musk told president Donald Trump this week that DOGE anticipated "savings in '26 from reduction of waste and fraud by $150 billion," referring to the fiscal year that runs from October 2025 to the end of September 2026. (It's even unclear if Musk meant that the so-called department had saved $150 billion so far, or if that was how much he's now predicting it would save in total.)

Well, he keeps on downsizing (or lying) about all the money he's (supposedly) saved the US Government, so maybe they'll be finished with him soon too?

Remember, he came roaring in, jumping up and down all giddy with excitement about "$2 trillion in savings", but he's not even close to it.

Summary: Tesla Cybertruck meets regulatory requirements, but just meeting the requirements would mean unhappy customers.

Musk said "You want a truck that's tough? You want a truck that's really tough? Not fake tough."

The presenter Jason says "the Cybertruck uses stainless steel on the outside which is objectively very tough but it uses aluminum on the inside. It's like the appearance doesn't really match what's going on inside"

Further Jason points to the European requirements for mechanical couplings for towing regulation "All parts of the mechanical coupling device or component whose failure could result in separation of the vehicle and trailer shall be made of steel" and does go on to say other materials may be used provided that equivalence has been demonstrated.

Problem is Musk puts himself as more worthy than anyone and undervalued.
Yet he did not dive 1cm of a deadly cave system to save children from certain death.

The expensive and risky flight diversions caused twice by his rockets, did he compensate for his bad results ?

So when you need a Plumber to go up to their armpits in shite to solve your immediate urgent problem ?
Or a Gassfitter who has the safety of you family in their hands as we saw with house deconstruction in Christchurch not so long ago.

How does that rate compared with a Hedge Fund Manager who can't change a tap washer ?

Gullible Tesla owners getting swept up in early Elon mania.

When a car is repossessed in the U.S., it typically remains on a credit report for seven years from the first missed payment that led to the repossession.

Vanessa Voss, in Washington state, purchased a Tesla Cybertruck for her business before the Cybertruck became a subject of political controversy and public backlash.

When she purchased the Cybertuck, she would have gotten three US tax writeoffs.
  • all of its price (subject to limits).
  • Plus depreciation
  • Clean Vehicle Credit, $7,500 federal tax
If she sells it, she can still keep the Clean Vehicle credit, and write off the deprecation, and any loss is fully deductible against ordinary income.

So yeah, she's being insincere or stupid by keeping the Cybertruck.

Fircrest insurance agency getting threats, harassment over its Cybertruck
Amid a nationwide protest against Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk, an independent insurance agency near Fircrest has been targeted over its Cybertruck.
...
Voss said it makes no sense that people are claiming online that her agency supports Musk and the Trump administration in getting rid of Medicare. Helping people navigate that systems is her livelihood, she said. “If the government does get rid of Medicare and Social Security, I’m the first one that loses my job,” Voss said. “So I certainly would not then be in full support of someone getting rid of government programs. They’re absolutely necessary. They’re needed for retirees.”

Is this interview a good idea for her business?
So she is really an insurance broker?
Marketing should be projecting good judgement and trust above all?

Given its a mobile billboard, it necessarily impacts on the reputation of her business.
Which was the point of this vehicle that's not that practical.

Elon always controversial, Cybertruck more so, now Elon caring little for his customers.
Oh yeah and there is that 1 year 'no sell' contract when you buy one.

Businesses have stuff happen all the time, a major customer goes bankrupt, regulatory changes.
Its not fair, but you have to move quickly to staunch the losses, learn and move on.
Buy/Lease a vehicle that says something sensible about your business immediately.

Given how escape proof it is in an accident, maybe it saves your life.
Or at least a finger or two, and having to tell people you were not once in the Yakuza :-)

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/the-doge-5-things-emails-have-fallen-apart-as-elon-musk-readies-exit/5QTFD4WGOJBFJIHIREG7HGYBAI/

What a surprise, that stupid, childish "5 things you have done" e-mail nonsense is basically being forgotten about, as Elon is (supposedly) getting ready to finish his time at the White House.

Maybe this story will remind him of it and he'll send out a "follow-up" e-mail 🙄

It is unclear precisely when Musk will leave the Government; his status as a special Government employee is expected to expire at the end of May. The billionaire is ready to exit because he is tired of fielding what he views as a slew of nasty and unethical attacks from the political left, according to a person familiar with his thinking.

Aw, poor diddums 😀 thin-skinned much?

(I wager it's not just the left having a go at him, either).

When Musk gets dumped on by a website that has "Tesla shop" on its main web page, you know you're screwed.

Musk complains about handouts when Tesla was only profitable due to credits: Electrek

Tesla’s earnings report dropped today, and news isn’t great. But instead of recognizing his failures that have led to Tesla’s downturn, CEO Elon Musk lashed out with conspiracy theories while also hypocritically failing to acknowledge that his company was only profitable this quarter due to regulatory credits.

The numbers are in on Tesla’s dismal quarter, with sales, profits and margins tanking significantly for the company despite a rising global EV market.

You’d expect a drop in car sales to be top of mind for a car company, but instead of talking about this, CEO Elon Musk opened the call by talking about his ineffective advisory role to a former reality TV host.
