Anyone planning to go to the Moment of Truth event tomorrow at the Auckland Town Hall.

Interesting articles from NZ Herald

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11324113
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11324278

I particularly like how a Pulitzer prize winning journalist is being called a "henchman" four times if my count is right.

http://tvnz.co.nz/q-and-a-news/government-considered-mass-surveillance-but-ruled-john-key-video-6080067

And the GCSB are just Norton Anti-Virus for the country. When you can't defend the truth you start attacking the messenger. I don't think Greenwald has ever said that he never wanted to have a security service. It's just that terrorist threats was the argument used for much more perverse reasons.

My favorite tweet so far: https://twitter.com/BarristerNZ/status/510903979060903936

Plus Greenwald being interviewed by the Internet leader.

Glenn Greenwald has a point about being called names when you have run out of arguments and is unbecoming of a PM.

Stay classy JK!

It'll end up being a fizzer: "we're going to announce something everyone already knew but this just simply confirms".

Unless the revelation hits the average persons wallet or grossly interferes in their private life then most will ignore it - not defending such a position but for most it isn't relevant to them.

If it was so important , why have they waited for so long to release it, when they could have told us when it was discovered. Releasing it in election week, come on.

I think that the fact this story has been in the news for a few days now and has only just raised its head on Geekzone shows that most people think its a fizzer (that's my analysis anyway).

Agree with the above sentiments wholeheartedly.
If Kim had something so each shatteringly important it would have been announced weeks ago and the current government dismantled.

I'm pretty sure it won't make any difference too. But as KDC has already said it won't make any difference.

I am however surprised disappointed how complicit the general population is in regards to how our country is run. Sign of the times really.

personally I'd rather not see politics on Geekzone as it achieves nothing, those that have strong views rarely change so it ends in people getting offside with each other and being disliked because of their political leaning.

I do understand why people should be allowed to discuss what they like in forums but it seems to achieve little hence reason I tend to stay out of them.

He said no matter what the PM has done people would still like him, Even if there was a video of JK shooting kittens in his back yard.

IMO it might make some difference, We will just have to wait and see

Regardless of if you think its going to be a fizzer or not, You can watch it live on http://kim.com or if you're in auckland you can go down to the town hall

Kim said the timing was decided to suit when his guests could come. There are going to be other guests too
