Kyanar: Let's see if they come back now that they've had their vent...

I'd probably think twice about it after reading yours Wink

There's been a number of banking related posts this week (including one I myself started LOL) so it's not like it's off-theme or anything. Can't we try and be nice to the newcomer and not pre-judge?

Well he's come back, and keeping everyone updated on how things are going, and that's all that's really asked for so...

Welcome to Geekzone aha001!

aha001: If you run a test on your system, you will probably be able to reproduce this problem.

I expect they will be needing more private details such as bank account numbers which would not be appropriate to share in a public forum, so you really need to send your info to the email address s/he has provided above.

That formalises the complaint in their records and helps them build a fault history they can use to effectively troubleshoot the error at a systemic level. Even apparently insignificant details can be meaningful when it comes to replicating faults, so it helps to include info such as your OS/version, browser/version etc etc

Thanks for the topic, I (and other readers too, I expect) found it a very useful discussion. Cheers

I'm assuming (hoping!) you aren't wanting the full credit card number sent by insecure unencrypted email?  Now is definitely a good opportunity for you to try and instill some good security practices ;)

No of course not - we just need to know which credit card if there are multiple cards (for example Visa Classic, or MasterCard Low Interest etc) to help us identify the problem.

As we state on our website "Never write down your credit card number, or send it via email. Whenever we show your credit card number (online or on a statement) we’ll cover up the first twelve digits. This means you can still recognise your card, but others won’t be able to use your numbers." https://www.asb.co.nz/staysafeonline

Thanks ^SM

Hi there, thanks for that information. Have you emailed us your full name, address, and which credit card you were using? At this stage we are unable to help you until we are able to identify who you are and which card you were using.

Our email address is social.media@asb.co.nz and we will monitor this for your response. Please reference this Geekzone thread in your email.

Thanks so much! ^SM

Also remember that even though the Geekzone PM service is encrypted with SSL the database storage is not, so please do not pass credit card numbers through our system.
