sbiddle: I find the mere fact a major NZ retailer has NFC support exciting. NZ really is stuck in the payment dark ages compared to Aussie when it comes to Paywave/Paypass terminal support.

I know when I asked smartpay who support works cadmus branded terminal about getting NFC and something not as slow as a sinclar computer they didnt have anything to offer.

timmmay: Used Paywave once at Countdown with my ASB Visa no problem. It only works up to some very small figure, $20 I think the operator said, above that it makes you put your card in or enter a PIN.

shrub: Been using my kiwibank mastercard card and it works no worries at bp and countdown the lady at countdown was confused though and asked what i did as she had never seen it before. So i don't think they have had any training on it.

Saying that McDonald's have contactless pinpads but nfc is not enabled.
freitasm: Shouldn't the terminal display (and print) "ACCEPTED" like in any other card transaction anyway?
