I personally haven't actually got Google AdSense, but they have a list of EFT-supported countries for payment, one of which is New Zealand, so direct credits should be available.

I have a client of mine, who runs a website with adsense, and I think that they have cheques sent over to them, rather than bank deposits, wilkl look into it for you.

I think that it is once you get over a certain amount of money you start getting paid, I think every $50 it might be.

I receive AdSense payments via electronic funds transfer to a New Zealand bank. It's safer than the cheques.

Payments are issued when your account reaches US$100.

It'll be a while before I see a cheque then - my last balance was $0.90!!

Most of that has probably come from Clever Milton.

Oh dang, 2-3 years and ive been issued a total of $12. At this rate its going to take 20 years before i get that payment.
As much as i hate and block them, annoying banner ads would have paid out a lot more.
You must have to get hundreds of thousands of hits/month for google ads to pay out well.

I think i need a new site idea, any suggestions? Tongue out
(im part of the support team for the US based webhost, so i could probably get whatever i need)

I think there are some misconceptions here, which is common. The online advertising business is not easy.

"Annoying banner ads" pay very low. I see some banner networks paying as low as US$0.01 CPM. Those are the icons, smileys, ringtones ads. The ones with flashing colours. Those are really bad.

A really good banner network pays about US$3.00 in the U.S. and will have good banners, no popups or popunders and have brand names.

Googe AdSense will pay depending on the topic. It's a marketplace, an auction. If there's lots of interest then advertisers will pay more, and so on.

You can make lots of money from AdSense with only a few impressions a month - in some cases a lot more money than those $0.01 CPM ads wouild do. You would need millions of ads at $0.01 to get some decent money. You can get some decent money with AdSense with way less.

But all depends on the topic, how much your content is relevant, how people find the content, if it's on forums pages or content pages, and more. Probably hundreds of factors.

No site is the same as other site and what works for one may not work for another.
