I am with Quic on the 500/100 plan at present and was wondering if anyone can tell me if I downgrade to the 100/20 plan does this happen straight away or at the next bill cycle? I am wanting to see if this speed is sufficient and if not I will return to the 500/100 plan.

Happens usually within a few hours for Chorus, and a day or two for the other LFCs.
You also receive an account credit or part charge for the plan change immediately.

I just downgraded our fibre Internet to 100/20. The price difference will really add up over a year. In our two person household I doubt we will notice the speed difference.

I recently downgraded our plan when switching to Quic, from 900/400 to 500/100.
Day to day use no one has noticed any difference including two sons gaming online a lot.
There’s 6 of us on our connection so dropping to 100/20 would be a bit too slow I think.

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

I changed from 300mbit(->)500mbit->100mbit. I think it's been a bit choppy at times. Also a few dropouts here and there.

Also we're 2 adults using it, mainly online gaming and Youtube. But then sometimes on the 300Mbit plan there were also a few dropouts and ping timeouts.

I have to ask: wifi or ethernet?
