Also, I may be out of touch but aren't Telco NFF charges capped at around $100? $200 seems very high...

Welcome on board @1xnRWP - great to have you! Your IPv6 config to my eyes looks correct, so will have a chat to the brainboxes in the office on Monday on this for you. :-)

Hey @K8Toledo, the setup fee is a one-time cost on setup of the service. There is no cost to upgrade/downgrade plan once connected. This covers our costs, mainly with transferring an existing circuit across to us, as there is a cost charged by the LFCs.
The NFF we have listed at $199 as a maximum, as this can vary a little between the LFCs and whether or not any restorative actions at the customers expense is undertaken as part of the fault. For example, the current Chorus no fault found fee is $163.28 including GST, so this gives us a little wiggle room for any expenses incurred. Hope this makes sense!

Definitely understand - I guess thinking is not to specifically state as a maximum just in case there is a substantial damage of network which has a large cost of repair along with the NFF fee, which theoretically could happen, we could be fronting a large bill!

Appreciate the feedback and will take this back to look at how we can word this better as I think we can explain this in a better way. 👍

Hey @1xnRWP, I've talked with those here with more brains than I 😉. I'll also be putting a request in to show some further information around IPv6 setup on the router setup page of our website to help everyone on this.

We provide an IPv6 prefix via DHCPv6 PD, rather than SLAAC.
Please firstly try to select the checkbox "Request only an IPv6 prefix". If that doesn't work, please also select the checkbox "Do not wait for a RA".

If this still doesn't get you a prefix, please can you send me a message here with a new screenshot with the checkbox "Advanced Configuration" checked, as well as your account name and connection address, so I can get this looked at in more detail

I am curious as to why you left Voyager as I thought they were one of the better ones? I am considering leaving 2 degrees now that Wifi calling is more available because of gaming latency to north America.

My service is now active :) everything changed over flawlessly, and my emby media server is working a treat with the dedicated IP.

I have a SamKnows box at the address, so we will see how the speeds are over the next few days during peak times ect

Hey @Decal, currently just the single IPv4 address.
That being said, I'm keen to take all feedback from this forum back, so if we did want to have multiple IPv4 addresses, what size subnet would you need? (e.g. /30, /29 etc).

It's a small point of contention. :)

Chorus NFF charge covers a truck roll @~$79. $200 is quite a hike...

VS recently lost the Chorus maintenance contract to an Australian fibre company, so maybe that's affected pricing?

$200 really is the charge the contractors better be worth it.

Hey @K8Toledo, just bear in mind that a truck roll charge and NFF charge are different charges by the LFC.

You're roughly right for a truck roll charge in terms of cost, but NFF fees are higher than the truck roll charge. 🙂

Regardless, I do appreciate the feedback and have already gone back internally with some ideas on how we can better define this on our website.

Just a quick update:

For anyone that's running pfsense, the config pictured isn't quite correct, but wasn't the root cause of my issue. Here's the working config - https://imgur.com/a/KIF2POG

You do have to have `Request only an IPv6 prefix` checked, as Quic only do ipv6 PD.

The issue I had appears to be a bug in pfsense, the dhcp6c config that pfsense was generating was nearly empty.

After spending a few hours on the phone with a network engineer from Quic, we ran through a bunch of dhcp6 client options in Advanced config, before rolling back to the linked config and noticed that it worked fine.

Shout out to @Quic, they've been awesome to work with. The network engineer that reached out went above and beyond, trawling through pfsense and bsd documentation and redmine bugs to help.

You wouldn't get that experience elsewhere.
