Looks pretty consistent now! Nice :)

I also find that different speedtest servers yield different results. I think once you crack the 1Gbps+ mark, you can start to see the nuances of different speedtest servers. Some are terrible!

Would you look at that, you can see where I made the change last night. Will see how it goes over the next few days. Nice one @3l3m3nt!

I also just noticed you were testing at the exact same time as me (also on Hyperfibre) potentially to the same server (Vetta Auckland). I've just now changed my testing time to something else to not clash.

Hey - on your linux host, try some sysctl tweaks. I found this helped heaps..

net.core.default_qdisc = fq_codel
net.core.rmem_max = 82501632
net.core.wmem_max = 82501632
net.core.rmem_default = 1048576
net.core.wmem_default = 1048576
net.core.netdev_max_backlog = 250000
net.ipv4.ip_local_port_range = 1024 64999
net.ipv4.tcp_congestion_control = bbr
net.ipv4.tcp_rmem = 4096 131072 82501632
net.ipv4.tcp_wmem = 4096 16384 82501632
net.ipv4.tcp_moderate_rcvbuf = 1

Might be worth adding this to the discord tips channel, certainly improved things for me.

@ssamjh how do you change between bng1-akl1 and bng2-akl2 ? Is this route dependent or luck of the draw when reconnecting Router/ONT?

@michaelmurfy re Discord - yeah I am lurking in there, very active and lots of banter which is good to see.

@Mikek re IPv4 and IPv6 speedtests - my tests to Chorus Fibre Lab are similar with either - my testing approach is to block either protocol for my desktop on Mikrotik FWs

Hoping the Quic maintenance upgrades tonight are going to help things for me in Wellington.... Talk of a Quic Wellington PoP in the future which will also help I am sure.

Thanks, Gabe

Yep BNG is a luck based thing.
But ideally both will be good after this maintainence.

FYI my previous result was on bng1-akl1

I have been on bng2-akl2 over the last week and things are slower e.g. below.

Bring on the Wellington PoP!
