Have had Sony TV for about five years now. TV remote is model RMF-TX800P.

It's getting a bit "sticky" and doesn't always make the channel selection or the option - like YouTube etc, or volume, or mute etc.

Where would I best be able to get a new controller before the current one dies?

Is it best via the retailer I bought TV from (JB Hi Fi) or from Sony direct (where is their store?) Or other - like any service man etc?

Welcome to any good advice.

I bought a "Sony" remote from Aliexpress and it worked fine. Cost around $10 delivered from memory.

There are always lots of used and unused OEM and third party remotes on Trademe.

+1 for OEM off trademe, had successes and failures with Ali. YMMV.

Also does the tv support control via mobile app? At various times we have used phones for backup control when the wee man has hidden the remote as part of playtime.
