They are reasonably good devices except:
They have very little space onboard - Google definitely under spec'd the storage space.
2GB RAM and 8GB storage and a big chunk of that storage is taken up by the OS. It doesnt seem to leave much for Apps or cache.
When I first got it I installed a handful of apps and found at one point it used up all the spare space with cache.
They released an update which did seem to improve the situation a little - it must have tidied the cache a bit better.
My First Gen fireTV had 2GB RAM and 8GB storage and always seems to have heaps of storage free. I would guess their trimmed down version of android must be quite efficient.
If google had even included a microSD slot, that would have been hugely helpful for adding storage, but I guess its built to a price.
(Please don't tell me about buying USB hubs that cost more than the actual device).
Anyway - apart from the space issues they are a good device and maybe if Android 12 is coming they may improve space management.
NB. Not every platform has created Android TV apps. You might be able to run some sites on your android phones and tablets, but for this device there must be a port for 'Android TV' for it to work on the CCWGTV.
