Which is why I used Slingbox it is HD depending on your Broadband speed.
The Sky modulator was first designed and sold during the SD days and is still widely used today apparently.
But if you want HD, Slingbox is a simple install. The hard bit is ethernet wiring if it is not near your Sky box (the 350 is not wireless - other later models are).
If you go to the Slingbox Answers Forum you can read about a couple of Kiwis doing what you want to do.
A Slingbox 350 sold on TM recently for $45. They can be bought on Ebay and landed here for under $100.
My set-up used Slingbox 350 (ethernet hard wired) and a WDTV SMP which has the Slingbox app built in.
The Slingbox 500 has HDMI in - note possible issues with HDCP.
Just to clarify - the WDTV plugs into the HDMI on your second TV (in 2nd lounge or patio or garage or office) and acts as the 'catcher' for the Slingbox stream using the Slingplayer App (from the HD component output from the MySky set-top box and the Slingbox 350).
