Belkin do a USB-C gigabit network adapter with USB-C PD pass through which is available in NZ (model INC001BTBK).

I believe that this device works on CCwGTV but have not tried it myself, although in my research I found a few people that are using it successfully, as long as it is paired with a decent USB-C PD charger/adapter and cable.

I've had success with the Samsung "Wall Charger for Super Fast Charging (25W)" - EP-TA800NBEGAU should be the model number.  I don't think it'll work with bigger USB docks, but it works fine with a cheapy Smaak USB-C hub I'm using, it might be grunty enough for the Belkin as well (it will depend on the power draw of the Belkin adapter and the CCwGTV combined).

Does anyone have problems logging on to iPlayer with the Android TV 0.4.7-dev APK from APKMirror? It keeps showing "connection error" when opening the app, and I suspect the 0.4.7-dev version on APKMirror is now getting too old. AFAIK BBC designs a tailored iPlayer APK for individual TVs & streaming devices with Android sold in the UK, so I guess APKMirror missed those updates.

If I sideload the phone APK (the phone APK updates over the Android TV APK) the app works fine, but UI menu navigation is very difficult with the CCwGTV remote.

You could pair a bluetooth remote more suited to the application such as the one that comes with Vodafone TV with CCwGTV.

Probably best to create a 2nd google account that is UK based and then download the official app from the UK play store. That’s what I had to do on my nVidia Shield.

I had issues logging in on apple TV using the official app. It wanted the authentication done on another device and when I entered the url on another device it didn't exist. Ended up VPNing on the PC and then the URL worked and I could authenticate.

Never had this issue in the past.

You can also access Live Channels on Google TV by pressing the Google Microphone button on the remote and saying "Live Channels".

That and the apk linked on Reddit work well. But I did notice that the channels all display as being SD and stereo when they should be HD and DD audio

I found if the channel is streamed in HD it appears as HD which is the case for TV One. However it may be that you have to pay for a licence for PVR Live to show output in HD on an HD television rather than SD.

It appears the TV3, HGTV, First Light, Hope Sabbath School, TV 28, and APNA TV are streamed in SD at present using Matt Huismans m3u8 Playlist.

I have a Chromecast with Google TV (HD) coming in tomorrow so might be able to answer any questions on the new version.

Anyone experiencing sound issues with the CGwGTV on a Samsung TV?

Trying to isolate this new issue. It’s either an CGwGTV firmware update or my Samsung Frame TV firmware update.

Issue - Never had any problems but in the last few days, watching say Netflix on CGwGTV and after a short while and switching back to my Samsung Frame to Sky - no sound. No sound on any of the other HDMI inputs.

It’s not Sky since when this happens my PS5 has no sound either.

I have to physically unplug or walk switch off the TV and on again for sound to fix itself.
It’s as if the CGwTV screws the audio on its HDMI port.

Thanks
