Be interesting to see what the quality of this will be like? Also a bummer it wont have the Full Saga of a Starworld version. I have the Blu-ray set of the series and it looks pretty good.

Movieman:
Having started this thread, I decided to dust off my Panasonic DP-UB 820 4K Blu-ray Player. I then installed an Avatar: The Way of Water 4K wallpaper, and the intro screen looked awesome, Okay, let's try a disc. So. I loaded up Highlander Blu-ray and the first thing I noticed was the power of the DTS 5.1 audio. I didn't realize how much better it was than the iTunes streamed movies. I am an advocate of streaming films, mainly because of the convenience, but I may start adding some 4K UHD blockbusters to complement my digital collection.
I sold many Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray discs when I decided to go digital, but I still have 232 Blu-ray and 13 4K Blu-ray on my shelves
Always been a physical fan. The Audio on disc is Uncompressed vs streaming so Atmos piggy backs on Dolby Digital Plus while on Disc it sits on Full Fat Dolby True-HD. Thats probably the biggest difference. I have about 300 4K Discs, close to 300 on Digital and maybe 600 plus Blu-rays.

I have almost given up on Buying 4K discs from JB Hifi here due to the available selection and Pricing. I usually grab them via JB Hifi in Aus during one of their many sales or Amazon. Picked up some 4K titles in Hawaii while there a few weeks back including Dragonslayer,The Last Starfighter,Hacksaw Ridge,Midway,Smile and Reservoir Dogs. There were sooooo many other titles but then i would have been eating 1 minute noodles for the rest of my stay haha.

Yes, I used to buy from JB Hi-Fi Australia, Amazon US, Amazon UK, HMV UK and Zavvi UK.
300 4K UHD titles is impressive. I would have had 600 plus Blu-rays, including over 400 SteelBooks (still have many) but I was only just starting collecting 4K when I decided to go digital. Mostly because of the price.
I am sourcing my information from Australia, so I will probably list anything not available in NZ here, I noticed that several SteelBooks haven't reached our shores.

I have become a little hesitant to jump to 4k discs as opposed to regular BD after checking the source material registered on digiraw. However, their updates are a few and far between so it's hard to know with any newer releases. Not sure if anyone has any other methods to check.
Of course audio is a different story, but I still wasn't sure every 4k was worth the extra funds unless I was getting the advantage it should offer.

I usually check various review websites for PQ and AQ quality. Anything under 4/5 stars I don't buy. I prefer 4.5/5 star reviews.

RAZORBACK (1984) JB Hi-Fi Australia $AU39.98
Somewhere deep in the Australian outback there's an indestructible creature that can rip a man in half and destroy a homestead in seconds. Nine hundred pounds of tusk and muscle hell-bent on terrorizing the small isolated community of Gamulla, a town as violent and primitive as the beast that threatens it. The astonishing debut feature from Russell Mulcahy (Highlander, The Shadow), RAZORBACK is a ferociously entertaining, adrenaline pumping thriller. Boasting stunning cinematography, a taut script, atmospheric music, special effects by Bob McCarron. RAZORBACK is an Ozploitation classic, bloodcurdling to the last squeal, and now this NEW BREED OF TERROR is available in stunning 4K UHD for the first time.

I would think that most of you following this thread will know about importing your discs from various overseas online retailers. Whilst sometimes the deal looks like a bargain, you need to factor in the possibly lop-sided exchange rate and shipping costs, not forgetting that we pay GST on our online purchases now. Also, shipping times can vary from e-tailer to e-tailer.
The plus for collectors, is that you can often locate titles that are not available in NZ; for a decent price. Our friends across the Tasman have a much larger selection than we do.
Here are links to four Australian online 4K UHD sellers.

How true, a $20US 4K movie from Amazon US apparently turns into approx $57NZ if you buy direct from them. At least if you're careful the same from Amazon AU will be significantly cheaper if you can wangle the free postage.

Disney are celebrating 100 years this year, and JB Hi-Fi Australia are getting some Limited Edition 4K UHD SteelBooks. Three Star Wars SteelBooks have already been released. All of the SteelBooks are quite uninspiring IMO, and all are very similar, but will match as a set for anyone wishing to collect them. These releases are for Australia only.
