I have to say that OSMC on a raspberry pi works brilliantly well - so the VERO must be superb.

The lastest OSMC update (on a RPI 2) seems able to play x265 1080p mkv files smoothly - it never used to - in fact I only played a file like this by accident last night and was very surprised when I realised it was playing without juddering.

(or maybe I just got lucky with an odd file it could cope with).

I refence to the above about remote controls etc - I assume the VERO also supports HDMI-CEC - so in fact 'theoldfarter' can probably just use his TV remote to navigate around OSMC?

Yes, it supports HDMI-CEC and I was able to navigate with my TV control.

How long did your Vero 4K take to get to you?

I think it took about 2 weeks.

It arrived last Friday afternoon. The RF remote did not work. Turned on HDMI-CEC in my TV & was able to navigate the Vero interface to choose the Xbox 360 IR remote profile. As I had that profile loaded into my Harmony remote, I was able to use that to control the Vero. I emailed Sam & he advised me how to pair the RF remote to it's dongle as it was suspected that it had lost it pairing somehow. That was the problem and the RF remote now works.

Have not had much time to play with it yet, been reading posts on the forum. @boland, have you tried the Bluetooth with your mobile phone? My Samsung Galaxy A5 will not connect. I have found a thread about maybe having to install A2DP but have not yet read the complete thread. I believe that the Bluetooth in the Vero 4K is still evolving.

The Bluetooth stack is still a bit experimental. For now you need to install A2DP support manually. In the future, we'll add this

to the App Store so it's easier to setup.

Hi guys,

I've spoken to Hadley at nicegear and now happy to say that

in a few days they will be stocking the Vero 4K, so it will now

be possible to buy them locally!

I may be missing something but I just can't find how to install this A2DP onto the Vero 4K. Can you give a link to where to get it and how to install please?

Ah... 689 posts... I will be busy for the next few hours :). Do I download and install something or, do I have to type commands?

I have a Bluetooth keyboard that works with the Vero 4K but have no idea as to where I would type in commands. A noobie I am, so any help would be appreciated.

So, after I login, I type in this, exactly (speech marks as well?)
