Lol, it's the small things in life...

Plus 1 for the Sony UBP X700, had mine for years and it's been solid. It stuttered on one 4k disc but was able to fast forward past it. Blurays have been fine.

I'd like to upgrade it one day to one of the Panasonics Movie man mentioned

I just transfer 4Ks etc to the PC and then they're available (almost) everywhere.

I was also surprised to see it, but it has a release date of April 17th and it is still a Pre-order, so I didn’t include it until we know a bit more about it, or even if it is going to happen. It may do a Silent Night and disappear.

It’s not clear how Paramount’s board will proceed on the Sony-Apollo proposal, having rejected previous overtures from the private-equity firm. The company has an exclusive negotiating window with Skydance that ends Friday (May 3), but discussions among the parties could extend beyond that.

If it happens, the combination of Sony Pictures with Paramount Pictures would likely result in mass layoffs — and knock the number of major Hollywood studios from five to four, after Disney took over 20th Century. Sony Corp., which acquired Columbia Pictures in 1990 for $3.5 billion, is the largest studio operator in the industry that does not have a broad-scale direct-to-consumer streaming play.

The UK are getting a 50th Anniversary 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray Limited Collector's Edition of Francis Ford Coppola's 1974 neo-noir thriller... THE CONVERSATION. Restored by Studio Canal, the package includes various commentaries and special features, a 64-page booklet, the soundtrack on cassette tape and a couple of posters with original artwork.

The legendary film stars Gene Hackman as San Francisco surveillance expert Harry Caul, who finds himself confronted with a moral dilemma when his wiretapped conversation recordings reveal a possible murder. The supporting cast includes John Cazale, Allen Garfield, Cindy Williams, Frederic Forrest, Teri Garr, Robert Duvall, and Harrison Ford.

The Abyss 4K has been added to JBNZ with a release date of 22nd May. True Lies 4K has an updated release date of 15th May too. I want to support the imports so we get more Disney titles but $65 🤯!

Its list price in the US was $40 USD, which is north of $60NZD on a pure currency conversion, , its currently discounted down to $30 on amazon.com which is still $50 NZD,

Its interesting it hasn't appeared on JB AU yet
