I had the same issue getting used to the HD800S. Actually, i felt the same moving from the NAD's to the Shure 1840's to HD800S. My theory is that our ears gets tuned for a particular sound and anything new take some getting used to. The rain in 'next plane out' is definatly something :)

I know it sounds bizzarre, but I literally had to keep shrugging my shoulders etc because it felt so real. My son (7) did the same thing. Freaky deaky.

I am not sure mine was getting used to the signature sound, since I have been back to my T1's for reference and didn't notice the same shock back and forwards.

Have to agree, my new Polks didn't sound as good as my old ones, but now that I have had some music going through them and run them off the amp for a bit they are definitely much better.

Not quite what you are asking, but it might answer your question. Jump to the break in section: http://nwavguy.blogspot.co.nz/2011/06/sennheiser-hd-650.html

Woah, I have a set of those as well, but I haven't used them because I felt they would have been well underpowered. Do you feel they are doing a good job? (genuine question).

They are incredibly powerful, you don't normally turn the volume more than 1/3, even at 50% hurts my ears. The amp is being called objective (the Os) precisely because they have been professionally measured and determined to be transparent to human ears. However, some people find them uninteresting because the sound is not coloured in anyway.

Planning to order O2+ODAC from their website. The total comes to $341, will there be any Import/customs tax for this?

Cheers.

How much is on the FS forum. Don't want wrist slapped for putting that in wrong place...!

Selling simply because I really do not use them. They have been packed in their boxes for 6 months I realised and I am sure someone else would enjoy them. I think a decent set of streaming monitors such as the Yamaha NX-N500 would be a solution I would use a lot more.

Hi Team

Anyone here currently running these Bose headphones? QC35 Wireless

https://www.hotpoints.co.nz/merchandise/Technology/TC3718

Mother is looking at them for long haul use and I've not experienced them, looking for real user examples of the good and bad.
