Yes, my samsung player handes every file ive thrown at it, my htpc is basically redundant id imagine Microsoft would have no issues as well.

The XBOX S may be a good option for many, but for those with dedicated home theatres, or with audio equipment they don't feel like rushing out to replace, the lack of a second HDMI output will pose a bit of a problem.

Think im gonna stick with my samsung its looks gorgeous has insane file playback and im a pc gamer not a console but if I was xbox is no brainer

But agree about the hdcp issue I have a receiver rated for hdcp 2.2 4k 60p that I just cant get to work so I ise the audio split
