In it's opening weekend; Disney / Pixar's animated film Inside Out 2, has taken US$155 Million at the US box-office. The best opening weekend for any movie this year. It is almost double the previous best that Dune: Part Two amassed. Add to that another US$140 Million International dollars, which makes it the most successful international opening for an animated film of all time. So, US$295 Million in total. Could this become the first US1 Billion worldwide hit of 2024?

I read this morning on Reddit that Amazon UK had been cancelling the orders of a lot of people for the upcoming Film Vault Range steelbooks. I checked my email, and sure enough I had an email saying my preorder for the Shawshank Redemption steelbook had been cancelled. And though it wasn't mentioned in the email, my preorder for Jaws had disappeared too. Gutted. 😭
So I've irresponsibly decided to put the money set aside for those steelbooks towards purchasing the reprint of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy 4K steelbook collection now available for preorder on Amazon US. Ridiculously expensive, but it's such a beautiful presentation of some of my favourite films.
Sorry to hear that your SteelBook order has been cancelled. They looked pretty good too.
I have to admire your dedication to the physical media cause and your willingness to buy what you want/need; no matter what the cost.
