Are these the SteelBooks that you are going to purchase Aviatora? If so, they will be a great addition to your collection. It's interesting to note that they have UK classification stickers on them, are they a Warner UK exclusive imported by Amazon US? Warner UK do release many SteelBooks that don't get a release elsewhere.

That's the one. The UK classification stickers should be easily removable like they were on the Fury Road steelbook I recently received.

I suspect that in a few weeks that I could cancel the preorder when I've come to my senses lol.

Amazon has reduced the above LOTR set by 10% and have free shipping. Still works out to be $285 NZ (approx) landed.

The Hobbit steelbooks are also coming for a similar price (have a look on imusic.co).

Would be great if we could just get them from a NZ reseller, as my last 2 Amazon orders were damaged :(

I had a look on iMusic.co at The Hobbit set of SteelBooks (thanks go to mailmarshall). It's good to see that they are a matching set for the Lord of the Rings Steels. Aviatora you need these 😁

Here is a pic.

Oh man. I did know about this, but I'm hoping that it doesn't release on Amazon until a few months after the Lord of the Rings set does (when I may or may not have financially recovered from my reckless spending) 😁

Presumably the new Hobbit set is still 24 fps. I actually have two different editions of it (on Blu-ray) and I hoped that one would have the "A" frames and the other the "B" frames so that you could theoretically restore the 48 fps version by combining both editions, but no such luck.

For me this shows as USA region and says wont play on other Bluray Players (in Amazon app). Has anyone got the Criterions working in NZ?

The Blu-rays will be region A, but the UHDs should be region free. I own a few and haven't had any issues with playing them.

Thankfully the list of UHDs that are region locked is very short, here's a post that includes them all: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=334606

Well that's a first, I ordered Titanic (4K) from Amazon AU, and it arrived today. Except it turned out they sent me an Apple Watch strap instead 😂

Has this happened to anyone else?
