Well that's a first, I ordered Titanic (4K) from Amazon AU, and it arrived today. Except it turned out they sent me an Apple Watch strap instead πŸ˜‚

Has this happened to anyone else?

Not yet, but it's bound to happen at some point; not that that is any comfort to you! 🫠

I did get a couple of Blu-rays turn up from Amazon US after they had said they couldn't be shipped. They didn't charge me for them either.

That's similar to what happened to me a few months back. Had a pair of movies due to arrive in the next few days, but I got an email from Amazon saying they were damaged during transit and I was issued a refund. Two days later the movies showed without even a scratch.

Amazon packaging can be a bit of a lottery. My last US order was damaged but the Italy order (Ferrari and Killers of Flower Moon Steelbooks) came through fine.

It’s worth getting the Gift Packaging if you are ordering a lot in one order.

He’s a stuntman, and like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest of heights, all for our entertainment. And now, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job. What could possibly go right?

From real life stunt man and director David Leitch, the blockbuster director of Bullet Train, Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and the producer of John Wick, Nobody and Violent Night, comes his most personal film yet. A new hilarious, hard-driving, all-star apex-action thriller and love letter to action movies and the hard-working and under-appreciated crew of people who make them: The Fall Guy.

Fingers crossed that happens, because Titanic is now sold out so I can't even reorder it haha.

Oh that's good to know! I didn't notice initially because even though the prices are discounted they don't have the original ticket price and the $ off amount on them. Cheers!

Someone was asking for information on a 4K Ultra HD release of Godzilla Minus One a while ago. Apparently there are no plans, as of now, to release it on physical media outside Japan. Amazon Japan do ship to NZ, so, importing from Japan is your only option for now. The price of 9000 Yen equates to about NZ$92, then there is shipping on top of that.

Netflix, apparently paid a very large amount of money to keep the film exclusivity for a pre-determined period.

Netflix is your best option for now. You can watch it with either Japanese and English subtitles or English dubbed. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos make it a decent offering from Netflix.

Thank you for the update on Godzilla Minus 1. It was a surprise to see Netflix pick it up, and I did end up watching it on that. Makes sense they would want to lock up exclusivity for a time. Patience is part of the game for us physical media devotees 🫑

I have 100 Blu-ray titles and did not think I would want to upgrade any to 4K Ultra HD but after following this thread for the last few weeks I think I will. I also have some extended sick leave for surgery coming up that will give me some free time to watch these. I got Top Gun Maverick in 4K when it came out and pleased I chose the 4K version at that time, then got Dune 2-film collection recently, then yesterday picked up Lord of the Rings trilogy in the JB HiFi sale. It dropped about $15 just before the sale so is now close to $40 off from that list price, now $92. I have chosen the next two I want to upgrade and will see how it goes from there.

Thank you Movieman for all your work in providing great information.

You might want to do some research before buying Titanic. I've read that it's not the greatest quality, and I saw a post a few days ago about replacement disks due to missing dialogue. It's not a film that particularly interests me, so I didn't pay much attention to the details.
