Wanting to purchase XP MCE 05 ( basically just need the key, already have the disc )
Must be a few of these around on here because quite a few would have upgraded to vista or 7, so if anyone has a copy lying around, i'd like to buy it.

Your right I have an old copy, but XP MCE 2005 was an OEM product from Microsoft if memory serves. Therefore it was only available with a hardware purchase like a hard drive or complete vendor supplied computer and once activated the license key is tied to the hardware that activated it.

I could sell you my copy but I have the feeling you would not be able to activate it and Microsoft would be rather upset I sold the copy to you as well.

cheers

I can ring MS and explain that the PC it was on, is now stuffed and would like to transfer the key to the new PC.Otherwise people would be screwed if some hardware failed that was tied to the Key.
