I have HTPC build as follows. pc running W7 video card hd ati 4890 with dual dvi. 15m hdmi cable connected to pc using ATI dvi to hdmi connector that transmits audio as well as video. my problem is when I set my TV screen resolution to 720p with 60hz I cann't get any TV channel to work but when I have the TV set to 720p 50Hz I can get all channels to work except TV3, TVplus and C4, C42 (kordia channels)
any input on this topic is appreciated.Frown

You should be using 50Hz anyway as we are a PAL country.

Those channels are all on the Media Works MUX, I'd be looking at your cabling and aerial if you're picking up the other two MUX's OK.

when it is 720p 50hz on the extended monitor no TV signal on TV3 even it if it is running in the main monitor but when I disconnect the extended monitor the TV signal is immediately back and it works fine on main monitor running at 120hz!!

FINALLY FOUND PERMANENT SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM


I use ATI HD 4890 video card when I connect second monitor I used to lose TV signal, now I know how to stop this from happening. You need to let the TV processors to use the appropriate pixel data processing algorithms based on specific content type, to do this you need to enable ITC processing from CCC ATI catalyst. Hope this helps who ever is struggling with this problem.
