Neither labels bother me. Although I find the former is generally handed out these days as a compliment, whereas the latter can still be used more as a "You're smarter than me, and I find that threatening, so I'm gonna throw a label at you that I think makes me look cooler than you". The truth is that society has now accepted that "Nerds" come from all walks of life, and I don't see the label having the same punch that it once had.
Agreed. #randomlybuttingin In JayJays, I see so many shirts with stereotypical "geek glasses" and stuff about how geeky and nerdy they are. Asked the specs of their computer to one of the shopgirls wearing it (okay, my grammar is shot) and she looked at me like, "huh?" Oh well :/
