Hi there,
I have just joined Geekzone because the people I already know on here seem to have such fun. Having read some threads/posts already I am fairly sure I am not geeky enough to warrant a spot here but who knows maybe I will become so engaged that I level up in the geek world.
I live in Wellington and work as a Primary School teacher but my real passion is eLearning and the use of technology, gadgets, software etc to engage and stimulate teaching and learning. I attended the ULearn conference in September and was blown away by what is out there in schools (and workplaces) already and I just see untapped potential for our kids.
Away from teaching I love learning about new technology, apps, software etc but I am fairly black and white. I will give things a good go but at the end of the day I like what I like. If its OS or user interface doesn't speak to me, or is illogical and time consuming then I will drop it and turn my attention to something else.
So, that is me. Whether I find a place for myself on here or not remains to be seen but I look forward to browsing the forums and seeing what news/events are being discussed. If I can join in, then all the better :)
