*waves HI to all*

Yes Im in CHCH - work in IT Sales and have done in CHCH for last 10 years in various places.  Currently working into Govt and corporate.

Hobbies are photography (just bought my first DSLR) and also blogging about learning to use new camera here Beginners Photography Blog.  Im also interested in digital and fractal art, and am a member of the local SCAdians.

Just got back from attending TECH Ed and am *very* tired, saw the blog posts and thought I would come along and play :)

BlueRose: Are there any photography discussions anywhere on the site? Hardware, software etc?

No dedicated photography forum on the site, though given the amount of photography chat I see on here, it could probably be supported!

@tonyhughes - where does the photography chat happen - in a particular forum - I had a quick look and the desktop one seemed most obvious?

Im aware that its wise to enquire in advance rather than blunder in like a noob and splash around a lot :)

I havent really been following closely, just seem to spot discussions now and again.

Try here and here, and see what you come up with.

More than welcome to start any new photography threads in the Off Topic forum :o)

Welcome, Bluerose! What DSLR system are you using?

I actually think the idea of a photography forum here is a really good one. I would definitely use it.
