Got it all downloaded and installed in my uSB.

Now to plug it in...

Ok. Plugged in, Windows Logo and Windows Setup window has appeared.

Clicked "Install Now". Crossing my fingers, toes.

Which one? The custom option?

Edit: I went with the custom option, looks like what are are after for now is just a windows installation.

Also, FWIW, ever since I cleared the HD or whatever I did a few hours ago to show the "Unable to boot - Please restart" message, the laptop screen has gone on every time, which is probably around 8-10 times.

Windows has been installed. And we have lift off!

Thank God for that.

Ok. Time for bed. All I've done is download Chrome, set Chrome as default web browser and restarted the laptop because it automatically downloaded and installed some display drivers. There was no option to pick what drivers, no option to stop, just got a notification saying they were downloading and then I needed to restart to install. So I did that.

Nothing else.

I'm just suggesting that if there is an option that does not involve an endless cycle of perpetual waste of time money energy and life then take that option.

Hey guys, I'm out of the office today for first aid revalidation. I'd restart and do a win10 start-up repair, if that doesn't fix it, I'd recommend dropping it by the office for me to look at. We take walk in customers as well as the JB stuff. Just make sure you bring a copy of the POP with you.

Probably just a one off, but screen is currently working. I noticed some Windows updates were being downloaded and installed, plus when I checked the device manager and check for updates on my graphics card, it actually found an update this time for the first time.

Not getting too excited.

Finch: Yep.

OK. Pretty good odds it's an underlying hardware issue at this point.

Get the unit in to me with a copy of the POP and I'll see what I can do for you.  Just ask for me at the front counter and we'll get it booked.

Standard disclaimers, if there's any evidence of liquid damage when we pull it apart, we'll have to quote for repairs, and assessment fees will apply.

Should I go through JB first? Because if I have to quote the CGA they might say "We never had the chance to look at it ourselves" kind of thing.

Definitely no liquid damage :)

Also, what should I do with it right now? Reset it again? Currently has my Windows Live/Microsoft details attached to it.
