I dragged an old laptop out of retirement to qualify for the Windows 8 upgrade offer last week.

The bios battery is long dead. It is wrapped in heat shrink and has wires coming out of it going to a push connector on the mainboard. It is just a standard 2032 battery in there. It has spot welded terminals. It will be a minor pain to recreate a similar package.

Is this package a standard part? Is there anywhere in Auckland City I can walk in be guaranteed to pick one up?
