So I rought a Acer Aspire V Nitro laptop a few days ago which came with windows 8.1 and I upgraded it to windows 10 straight out of the box. Now heres my problem:

1) I tried to download MS office from the AUT uni website but using MS Edge, Chrome and Firefox, it wouldn't open the webpage for me to download it at home but then I went into uni and the webpage could be opened and MS office could be downloaded.

2) Currently trying to download GoPro studio on the Acer, I can enter the GoPro main page but I can't open the GoPro studio page to download the program but on my Dell laptop (window 7, on same wireless network as my acer) I can access the main page and the gopro studio page to download the program.

Anyone know why this is happening on my Acer and how I can fix this?

#1 may be available only on that network. #2 can you post links for both?

Links for what? the website I'm trying to get into? http://shop.gopro.com/APAC/softwareandapp

For #1 how can I fix it so I can do it at home too? For #1 I could access the MS office download page via AUT on my dell but can't on my new Acer

Could it be a proxy configuration on your new PC?

Hey Freitasm. If it is the proxy configuration how would I check/change/fix it?

Update: it seems like these problems only happen at home as I can access the GoPro studio webpage on my Acer laptop at uni. So does this mean there is a problem with the proxy?

Not necessarily. It could be your PC is configured to use a proxy and this is not available from home. Or perhaps your home ISP is having problems accessing the GoPro server. Or your router is misconfigured with wrong MTU and having problems moving packets to this GoPro server, or...

It could be a lot of stuff. Just get the file from where you can, for the moment.

what's the easiest way of determining what the problem is and a way to fix it in case this happens in the future to other webpages?
