I was sent this article on stuff re an issue I have with my MacBook. The plastic on the righthand corner of my MacBook has broken away and it is getting bigger over time.

Has anyone else had this issue and have you been able to get Apple NZ to repair for free? I'm out of warranty period by a year or 2.

Cheers

A colleague of mine took his Macbook in for warranty replacement of its harddrive. He had the issue of cracked edge too but didn't mention anything. They replaced his HDD and also the cracked panel - no charge for either. It was still under warranty though...

Have had 1 hairline crack near the palm rest on my MacBook. Been there for the most part of this year.

Can barely see it in most lights so haven't bothered doing anything about it (not to mention it's out of warranty).
