Okay,
I know I'm going to get people hounding on me saying "You're using Rapidshare as a P2P network" etc etc, but that is not the point here.
I am trying to point across a FAULT on Telecom's so-called "big" time plan.
Okay - I know a fair use policy applies, I also know that traffic is managed between the hours of 9AM and 2AM. BUT, after speaking to Telecom's Broadband Help team (if you can CALL them that), I have been told that Telecom should NOT be slowing down traffic to the Rapidshare network between the hours of Midnight and 9AM.
My question to them was "Is it not classified as false advertising when you say that traffic management only applies during so-called 'Peak' times?"
Their response (wait for it!!!)
"Well...Yes, I guess it is".
They openly admitted to suckering in the consumer and blatantly lieing to them about traffic management. God knows how many other websites are slowed down when they should not be!
They told me that for ANYTHING to be done about Rapidshare NOT being traffic managed (when it shouldn't be anyway!) a group of people must complain - not just me. I cannot believe that I am the only one who has made this complaint.
And here's the kicker -
About four weeks ago - the idiots at Telecom's traffic management section must have all been asleep at their desks because - for two days solid - Rapidshare sped up during the day time, but..... slowed down during off peak hours! Hahahahaha
Seriously - the CEO of this sham organisation got paid 5 million-odd dollars last year - do you think that they could possibly sort this problem out for PAYING customers of both Rapidshare Premium AND Telecom Broadband?
And also, if anyone else has the same complaint regarding Rapidshare Premium - please contact Telecom - give them all the hell you can - they can't ignore it then.
