never mind the website.... when will they replace all the manhole covers which carry the old logo? :)

i think this logo change will be one that will take some time to be fully complete.....

And all of the plastic sticks that say "Warning, Dont dig". Most of them still have the logo they had before the last one.

yeah, and so do portions of the website.

Something about the new logo will look kind of wrong on network cabinets (like the tangle of cables on my desk) I do like the white-on-blue design, much nicer but also more ink drinking and "square" in many cases hence the white background for most.

Don't like it. Looks like it was created by a two year old.

I guess Telecom has gove with the red vs blue arena. Vodafone in the red corner, telecom in the blue.

Also I wonder if chosing blue was to limit 2 degrees brand awareness?

I am seriously in the wrong business...

How much did this new logo cost Telecom?

Did they go to the same "agency" as Auckland City Council?

Some kid, now a millionaire, who designs these logos with nothing more than a piece of paper and a Blue crayon...

Im guessing after the copyright issue with the Auckland city council logo, they needed to design a new logo to get back the court case costs...

Seriously thats the dumbest company logo Ive ever seen!

edit: ok I get it now - its an anti tagging measure?

Telecom is "tagging" its own things to beat the taggers at their own game...

Other than the fact the Auckland City Council logo is also blue I can't see the similarity?

And as has been mentioned previously, the cost of the logo design itself would be minimal. It's simply a part of the whole re-branding program.

Auckland City council spent millions of dollars to design a blue triangle.

Millions of dollars to design the triangle or millions of dollars for the whole rebranding project? Which would have included stationary, buildings, vehicles, pens, stress balls and frisbees etc.

Indeed - http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10475709

"...Auckland City Council's new wavy blue triangle, which the Herald understands was the culmination of a $1 million rebranding exercise...".

So the triangle did not, in fact, cost "millions" to design, if the whole project was only 1 million.

So same with Telecom.

I just got my phone bill and there's no sign of the new branding.
The peepie news advertising mentioned tivo, mobile tv, txt n driving notice, Fathers day competition (I thought their competition was Mothers day) and an improved helpdesk (for Asian speakers).

I guess it'll be next month.
