The rumours were true and Telecom New Zealand has unveiled its new logo. It's this one (click the picture for a larger version):

New Telecom New Zealand logo

I asked Telecom PR what does it mean - we couldn't get this information yet because there will be an official release coming out later, but for the moment I am told it can be anything we want it to be - stars, asterisk, fiber optics.

So let's put our imagination to work and reply here with your idea of the new logo - like, dislike, what it represents, what it inspires, etc.

I actually think it's really cool... Quite vibrant and modern.

Hmm, I whipped this up in about 4 seconds in Paint.  Maybe I have a future as a graphic designer after all?

A childish scribble, or is it a bundle of cables all connected to a central hub?

First thing it reminds me of is the WWE(F) Scratch logo (launched 13-15 years ago) lol

Similar colour to the XT Logo but I'd associate it more with the colour Air New Zealand uses

Maybe a new attitude of keeping things simple and easy

I'm at the launch.

You will see from the new TV adverts that will come that anybody can draw this logo.

It represents giving the power back to the people, helping everday New Zealanders achieve anything they want. It represents simplicity and that anybody can do anything.

I reckon a couple of subtle gold streaks in there would make it stand out a bit more. 2 colors isnt enough IMO.

I think it's okay though.

That image alone, I'm not really liking the new logo. With more exposure I think it'll grow.

It's different I guess, didn't expect this.
