Hey, Im seriously thinking of buying one too. Has some cool features and all. Might wait for the sale though! Just a few questions. How long can you record video for? It's not the silly 15 sec video that other cdma nokia's do? Also, can you change the faceplate? Does it look like it can be? I always end up dropping my phone and it gets scratched, so wouldn't buy a 6265 since it'll look pretty bad once scratched and it can't be replaced (the faceplate). Yeah, so do you reckon the faceplate can come off and be changed? Whats the picture taking quality like? Whats it like in bad light? Thanks. Hope you having fun playing with it!!

You might be waiting along time, as models such as the 6265 have not changed RRP of $799 from launch.

nginnz: Also, can you change the faceplate?

No

Hey all. I've been using these forums as a reference site for ages because there is always all the info you need here, but finally decided to sign up because of this phone!

Love it! It is a great looking phone. Finally Telecom have a sexy phone. Camera is great. Agree that the UI is faster than the 6265 but I still find it lags a bit. Will just add that on the Telecom website the software that is shown on the phone is the old software. The 6275 actually has the new software so it looks like the 6265 when it is in camera mode, not like the old UI shown on their website. I will definitely be getting this phone! I was put off the 6265 by the slide. It is a bit of a shame that it doesn't come with a memory card but it is cheaper than the 6265 so that's good.

Also you can get faceplates for the 6265. They don't replace the screen but will fix all the scratches around the edges. Or there are pretty nice looking cases (not the ugly leather ones) that are clear plastic kind of like the iPod shuffle crystal cases. These protect the screen and look good still.

Overall, the 6275 is a nice size and has good features. Two thumbs up.

hi there

can anyone tell me if the Nokia 6275 will sync your Outlook Inbox via PC Suite software.  I have the 6265 but Nokia doesn't support sync'ing the inbox with this model.  I don't need to send and receive email via the phone just have the inbox available "offline".

Also - i can't find anything about the Nokia 6275 on the nokia.com website(s).  It's not listed anywhere i can find - so makes it tricky trying to work out what its features are.  what a shame - i really should let them know.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

1) No the 6275 does not support inbox sync, only contacts / calendar.

2) The 6275 is located at: www.nokia-asia.com/6275i

How $3 per print?  The Ink and Paper (120 sheets + ink) retails at $75 so by my calculation it's $0.63 PLUS the convenience of good quality printing at home or on the go PLUS the ability to edit etc...  I print at home and don't mind paying extra for the lack of hassle and at the end of it I still own the hardware.  AND you can take it to the beach / weddings / parties and give pics out to your mates!!  Great deal I think...

It has something to do with privacy. "Items indicates all request rules will be accepted". Don't know what the heck that is supposed to mean but it is annoying and I want to get rid of it too! Damn new icons!

I think its something to do with the privacy of the GPS ariel the phone has - I think it only works in the states (telecom should have switched it off to save room at the top of the screen) because if you go to "Extras" "Collection" "GPS info" the gps program doesnt work

I got the GPS to work but it took several minutes to find the satellites. Plan to test its GPS mode more this weekend. It's a pretty basic GPS device though.

That's interesting? i would have thought it would never work.. i'll have to haul one outside and have a play! even if basic, it's still rather useful!

Though i screwed my own nokia and it says "Gps registration failed" however i'm always inside when i start it up so i should have a toy.
