The issue has been escalated to the appropriate level. It's not affecting all customers (I was able to stream some buttery smooth 1080p60 just now and earlier today) but clearly there's something going on.

I'll let you know when I hear something.

Had to wait till i got home to properly test this - i really didn't want to mess with my vpn routing rules to force anything.

as Neil has pointed out, as only affecting some connections, unfortunately? this isn't affecting mine. twitch is butter smooth.

infact better than butter. it's pegging instantly on each chunk at 1080p60. less time to full buffer than Vodafone link.

Network isn't my thing. anything like this i'll end up passing to the other fine folk around here as they are closer to the solution than I.

It seems to be sorted now (on Spark), hopefully the guys on BigPipe also have it resolved.

I'm on Bigpipe and had the Twitch issue. It has been "fixed" by them removing my static IP. Hopefully just a temporary measure, even though I don't really need one anymore.

I kinda had an inkling that it was something to do with that, I have had issues on Bigpipe before that required them to re-issue me new static IP's twice previously I think.

Nothing todo with having a static ip at all directly.

indirectly, will be that there was? an issue with the routing to that subnet.

Routing for such a large isp isnt binary. ip ranges are scattered and it could just be one "block" that has the issue.
