And internet has gone again.
Just like previously.
Landline doesn't work either, just like previously.
I was told by Spark that apparently, according to his notes, someone had been doing a bit of work outside the house to fix the issue.
They might have turned up at a rare moment, where we didn't notice it, but I'm starting to question this.
Identical issue, which we now have encountered three times in a month.
I know it will return, but knowing that it will disappear again, will make me question if it's time to look elsewhere.

Wait, landline drops at the same time?

That would imply something very different to what we have been suspecting so far.


Next time it happens please open your spark app click the box down the bottom, scroll down to Check my broadband and tap that.

Be interesting to know what your seeing there.
Based on what you have described it will show all crosses.

First light on ONT is solid green (power).
Next one is flashing green (optical).
Alarm, nothing.
LAN1 is yellow.
Rest (LAN2, LAN3, LAN4, POTS AND UPDATE) has got nothing either (no lights).

Ended up cancelling my contract and switched to Vodafone.
Would have loved to stay with Spark, but issue kept returning and they showed no interest in sending someone out. Or well, I was told that if the internet worked, when they sent someone out, I would have to pay $120. I explained to them that I thought it was wrong, as it worked, then stopped working and then working again.
But they insisted on this. Bad service, I reckon.

Red optical or optical going off indicated optical issues with the UFB network. If this is the issue you're guaranteed to have the exact same issue with Vodafone so changing RSP will achieve absolutely nothing.

But there are no red lights on the ONT or router.
