sleemanj: Ad featuring Richard Hammond just aired on TV3 for testdrive.co.nz - site is hammered though.
Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.
freitasm:
Just look at the source for that page and it has Telecom in some places.

I sell lots of stuff for electronic enthusiasts...
sleemanj: I don't think they are trying to hide themselves, just a marketing policy to separate the businesses so that you don't confuse the punters, otherwise they'll be showered with "what are you doing to my phone, do I have to buy a new phone, blah blah blah whine whine whine" type support calls
Cheers

nzbullet: Love the new mobile branding Telecom! As said before they are not hiding from anything, BT did the same when changing BTCellnet to O2 in the UK. It's for marketing purposes and I think it's great. I have noticed the Network name when you search for networks on your phone still says 'Telecom NZ', hopefully they will change this to 'XT', 'XT Network' or 'XT Mobile' to keep everything the same.
Anyway roll on May!
Would have been great if it was NZComm's announcement! Haha.
The XT logo isn't very stimulating...

Don't take life too seriously. Remember, no one gets out alive.

Why? Why would it be better for it to have been NZ Comms announcement? I don't understand that.
It's Telecom's announcement and it's great to see something different for the brand instead of a company name with 'NZ' or 'Mobile' tagged on the front or the end.
Obviously because it is Telecom there will be the usual 'telecom Haters' that can't/won't see this as a good thing. What would you like the logo to have been, it's an X and a T so why over complicate it? Personally I think it looks smart and clean.
