After work on Thursday, ie just a bit earlier than macuser's suggested "after town on thursday".

I don't know if anyone will be lining up today, but there's bound to be someone lining up early tomorrow. Didn't people start lining up Tuesday for the midnight Friday iPhone? Did they even get any freebies? I forget...

macuser: Hmmm, maybe I'll go to Newmarket after town on thursday night.  I can't imagine THAT many people will be lining up in Auckland?

I doubt that would be early enough, you're only waiting overnight.  If I was keen I'd go first thing after work, but I doubt even that would be good enough.

After work? It's in the morning?

He means the day before...

Its like when the harry potter books came out, Iphone, teletubbie dolls etc people lined up for at least 24 hours before the sale.
With a saving of $2500 if you go for the Nokia N85 it would be worth waiting a while as I don't even earn that amount of money before tax in a fortnight.

I was considering informing Blanket Man of this as he might be interested and he is an expert on camping out.

tonyhughes: Harry who?

I guess you as much a fan as I am, when your living in Edinburgh and a book is being released you know about it regardless if you care or not.

Difference between iPhone 3G launch...

iPhone Launch: First person in line was the first person in the world to officially own a Apple iPhone 3G.

XT: People lining up for Telecom XT mobiles and plans will be getting mobiles everyone already has, to be charged the same as everyone else but pay it to a different company.

You will be the first 5 consumers to own a XT handset... I can imagine that will be huge news on CNN...

I have not seen any terms and conditions for this promo... it seems quite off the cuff. I would say go for it! Line up, if you are not too late already!

I would go down to the Welly store right now to begin my vigil, but alas, I work for a living.

a free phone would be nice, but i don't think i will queuing up for one, if they had a heap of free phones to give away, and i had read what plans they have maybe, but since the plans aren't out yet, i might just wait until sat haha.
