And that's not the worst part, when Telecom eventually closes it CDMA network in 2012, all those customers will eventually move to XT as well and XT speeds on 3G will be even more slower.

I just reviewed the thread after what Mauricio posted.

In one breath you wrote:

in response to me saying that it is not a problem isolated to the iPhone 3GS only.

Huh?? Plesae help me out here. I'm willing to be educated but what are you trying to say? First you say the iPhone 3G is affected, then you suggest I'm wrong when I say that both the iPhone 3G and 3GS are affected?

The iPhone 3G has been out for a year.

So why has this issue only just come up??

I did read john's reply. My reply was in general slow speeds of VF that users are comparing with a brand new network XT and thinking it will last forever that way.

Do whatever you want to do man.

The question is - are you happy to sit back and wait for 2012?

With number porting and prepaid or open term contracts, why the hell not use XT now?

The new slogan should be:

Proven to be much faster in more places at the current time in New Zealand, particularly if you are using an iPhone*

*Subject to change with the turnoff of CDMA network in 2012

Telecom NZ can not use the iphone brand

iphone is not the only phone for sale in the world

FWIW I see a lot of people complaining about iPhone speeds, but in general the complaints about other handsets' speeds have been less or non-existant in my experience. So no, I don't think you hold it true.
As it is, this is a specific problem, and there's action being taken. In this case I wouldn't complain about Vodafone.

Mauricio your points are taken on board.

At the end of the day if an iPhone user wants speed now, then XT seems to offer it, and he or she isn't going to waste time caring if it is Apple or Vodafone's fault.

That's not a criticism of either Apple or Vodafone, merely an observation.

Mauricio am I correct in saying that the iPhone 3G AND 3GS are affected by these problems, and if so, why has it taken a year for us to issue a ticket with Apple regarding the iPhone 3G?
