It sounds like you are not alone with havng problems upgrading. I'm doing some research internally and will get back to you.

We are going to pull the update from the ZTE website until we can validate where the problem lies.

If you have a phone that is now "bricked" take it into the nearest Telecom store. They can send it away to be fixed and upgraded with the latest software.

Please be patient with the stores as the communictions has not gone out to them yet.

Neal

So even though my phone is two week out of warranty it will be covered at no cost to me and fixed? That would be awesome, thanks for your work Neal!!

I've just upgraded my phone just then without any problems - one thing people have to remember is to right click on the application and run as administrator, and have the joinme application installed. Everything after installation seems to be going alright, reliable connections, fast internet etc.

I tried to update R100. It started to update but then it stopped part way through. I could hear the usb connect/disconnect tone using Vista. I panicked thinking I might have 'bricked' daughters phone but thankfully it still worked. I will hold off updating until issues sorted.

Sorry I took so long to post back here. I took it i to the northlands store again and it has been taken in under the premise that it is covered by them. Expecting two weeks delay. Thanks to NealR for sorting this out.
