I was doing a firmware upgrade on my Telecom R6 and it got stuck in a loop of Erasing EFS, Writing filesand the Erasing EFS again. Is there anything I can do or is it a write off?
Even if it is out of warranty? I bought it from telecom on launch day and it is out of warranty. Will it be covered under CGA? The phone doesn't launch and is not recognised by vista.
Well it's a tough situation you are in there. You could almost blame the Software Upgrade for crashing your phone. But then again, there could be some large disclaimers around downloading the software upgrade to your phone. Such as Telecom not accepting any responsibility of damaging your hardware etc...
I would go back to Telecom and speak with them directly about the situation. Wouldn't hurt would it? :)
Take it into a store for them to send away for repair. Let me know what happens.

o so i took it into the telecom the palms store and was given appalling treatment by staff and was origionally told it was my fault for upgrading firmware and when i mentioned to cga i was told that it was amazing the phoe had asted this long. I don't know what to do now. Iam so annoyed with the staff. As far as i am concerned this phone should still be working and the software upgrade should not of damaged it. To ake matters worse there were two staff members and a manager who all completely ignore the cga. NealR what do you think i should do now?
Disclaimer: ZTE takes no responsibility for loss or damage if customers are unable to operate the software update tool, for failure of the handset or failure of the computer, loss of data or revenue.
So.. ZTE (or any phone provider) put an official Telecom update out for their phone to fix bugs/make better what do people have to do? Go into the Telecom Store (or the place like noel leemings) and ask them to upgrade it for you?
