They've done this. But to order fibre max I need to select which one I want. And it doesn't tell me which.

Erm so how do I upgrade to it (Already on Fibre 100) , There does not appear to be an upgrade path ??

There is a fault with the online upgrade thingy at the moment that looks like you need to sign up for a new contract or pay money and get a new modem.

This is _NOT_ the case in reality. The easiest way is to use the online chat. There's an urgent case opened to fix the issue but until then online chat.

There is one funny exception though... There may be some Fibre 100 customers that have a HG630b router, either because they upgraded from Fibre 30 to Fibre100, or due to ordering issues... While the 630b is fine for Fibre100, it's not gigabit capable so you will need an upgrade to the HG659b (or BYO favourite gig capable router).

Thanks for the info , went through chat and request has been lodged , speed change in 7 - 10 days.

Do I need it no , do I want it yes , Will the missus kill me when she see's the new bill coming in definitely.

lol... I also don't need it, but want it ....and my missus is just the same :)

That's probably the 200/20 plan - Spark Internet Plans & Pricing - what I hadn't realised was that all "naked" plans are now unlimited data only.

if you select add lineline there is a plan called ultra fast fibre 200 for $129.99 (along will all sorts of fine prints which I didn't try too hard to understand)

what upload speed is that? it doesn't say

It's the 200/20 plan - it's the naked plan $119.99 plus $10 for the landline.

Would I need a new ONT then? UFF installed the ONT for us, in a pretty bad location if it needs to be used for pots too. Had I known that this might also be the phone point I probably would have requested a different spot.

I suppose I could get one port going though.

The ONT you have should support it. The other option is integrated wiring... I'm going to paste a note from our FAQ and apologise in advance for the last sentence (I don't know the cost)

"Integrated wiring isn’t as complicated as it sounds. It just means that your new fibre cable can be hooked up to all your existing phone jackpoints so you can keep using them. So if you have extra phones, medical alarms, a security system or services like Sky TV, it’s probably a good option for you. But it’s important to let us know you want integrated wiring when you order or it could cost you big dollars later."

I would imagine if your original install had just 2D VOIP then there's no chance it was setup - I presume there's nothing plugged into your ONT except a fibre, an ethernet cable and a power cable?

Correct, the fibre from the outside, and , an ethernet cable which plugs into an ethernet jack , which in turn connects to our central cabinet distribution hub.

There are just the two ethernet jacks adjacent to the ONT, so one is for data as per now, and the other could be used for the phone.

The ideal situation would be for the ONT to be in our central cabinet, but it wasn't possible under the free install option.
